Busy, Busy, Busy!

Wow, has it really been two months since I have posted? A lot has gone on, I'll try to summarize quickly.

Jacob has completed his first season of wrestling. He enjoyed it greatly and loved the fact that he saw positive changes in his body from all of the training. We were all shocked at the time commitment. He had practice every weekday from 3:15-6 (later if he had a home meet) and on Saturdays he had tournaments from 6:15am - 5pm. He was so excited to be able to sleep in that first Saturday after the season ended! He has been doing much better in school and at this point has almost all B's (there are still a few C's). He was voted Senior Patrol Leader again in Scouts which means he has another six months of leading the troop. He is more comfortable with it now, so we will see how he does. He is also starting to work on his Eagle project. Oh, and he has a new "friend"...Tiffany. Lastly, I must not neglect to mention that Jacob is trying to grow mutton-chops.

Hannah turned 13 last month! She is now officially a teenager and displays everything that goes along with teenaged girls (aka HORMONES!). There are days that I think I may just pull her head off! But, she is also a sweetheart who really has a heart for others and for doing what God wants her to do. She recently participated in Solo and Ensemble for both trumpet and piano. She got a "1" for trumpet but only got a "2" for piano because her music only had 24 measures and the state required it have 28. She was terribly disappointed but learned a valuable lesson for next year. She made it onto the volleyball team again this year and has been doing much better than last year. She is thrilled that she can actually serve over the net and her coach no longer rotates her out when it is her turn to serve.

Lily turned 7 this week and she was thrilled. She is now looking foward to having her skating party this Saturday. She has never had a party with her friends before, so it will be fun for her. She has been enjoying school but still says she does not like it. She is trying to decide if she wants to do gmnastics, dancing, karate or play an instrument. She wants to do everything and thinks she knows everything.

Kermit has been super busy with Scouts and church. He has been working with contractors on bids for a bathroom remodel and elevator install at church. He both loves it and hates it. He has also really picked up with Scouts again (had time off during other remodel project) and has become quite a chauffer helping get all of the kids to their respective appointments.

I have been working like crazy. Between regular work and being part of a team at church searching for a new Minister of Worship. I'm very excited that job may be coming to an end! I got to scrapbook for two days at the end of January which was very fun and relaxing. I have been enjoying our new Wii Fit even though it reminds me of all the hard work I need to be doing. I have joined Weight Watchers at work which I have enjoyed. We'll see how it goes!
